“Musical training is a more potent instrument than any other, because rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul, on which they mightily fasten, imparting grace, and making the soul of him who is rightly educated graceful.”

― Plato, The Republic

Our Parents Say…

Ben Grise

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at the CDA Music studio! It has truly been a fantastic journey for our son. The guitar lessons have been fun and educational for him, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to witness his newfound confidence. To be honest, we were taken aback by the remarkable speed of his progress, and it was a joy to see him flourish during each music lesson and to watch him perform with such confidence during his recital.

Julie Griffin

Our son has loved his experience learning guitar with Mrs. Mangold. He has progressed so much and enjoys each lesson. She is kind and caring. She is very knowledgeable, and our son knows that she enjoys teaching him. This has made his first experience learning to play an instrument a very positive experience.

Tara Tang

The CDA Music Studio has been such a blessing to our family. Our children get to study under instructors who are of the greatest caliber, and it all fits into the course of their school day. The seamless integration of musical opportunities into our students’ weekly schedule truly makes music lessons possible for our busy family of 4 children.

Michelle Schall

We are so grateful for the music studio at Coram that has allowed our daughter to grow and develop as a piano student. Her piano teacher was kind, thoughtful and encouraging, instilling a love for playing in our daughter. With busy evenings filled with sports, homework and church activities, being able to take music lessons during the school day has been so convenient.

Our Teachers

Emma Foss

Emma Foss thoroughly enjoys teaching General Music to K-6th at Coram Deo Academy, leading specialized music courses for high school, and working with students and the other teachers at our growing Music Studio. Emma has loved playing the piano ever since she was 5 years old and the violin since she was 10. Growing up, her favorite ways to use her musical abilities were in church, the local nursing home, music jams with friends, and competitions, where she placed nationally three years in a row for Classical Piano. She graduated from Bob Jones University in 2019 with a B.S. degree in Music Education. While there, she participated in the BJU String and Symphony Orchestra, traveled nationally to various churches on a music team, and won the BJU Commencement Piano Contest her sophomore year. Her passion for music has grown exponentially now that she gets to share it with her students at Coram Deo Academy, where she has been teaching for five years. Emma is wife to her husband, Andrew, and a mother of two: Remington (1 year) and a little girl on the way! Their family attends and serves at Noblesville Baptist Church.

Jordyn Brenneman

Piano Teacher

Jordyn Brenneman graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 2021 with a degree in Elementary Education. She has been teaching for the past few years in 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades! She had the opportunity to teach at Answers Academy with the Ark Encounter, and so enjoys her time spent investing into her students’ future! She has competed in many different piano and vocal competitions throughout the years as well as teaching piano lessons on the side! Music has been a part of her life as long as she can remember and she loves using her musical talents for the Lord in her church! Jordyn and her husband also serve in their local church on youth staff and absolutely love the opportunity to work with both children and teens!

Grace Mangold Voice

Guitar Teacher

Grace Mangold graduated from Anderson University with a degree in Music Business in 2016. She has been singing and playing the acoustic guitar for 12 years, along with piano and bass guitar. Along with teaching acoustic guitar and voice lessons at CDA, she enjoys songwriting and sharing her gift of music with those around her. Grace is the worship director at The Fields Church, a church plant in Westfield, IN, where she and her husband happily serve as members.

Angela Pulliam

Violin/Viola Teacher

Beginning violin at the age of 5, Angela came from a very musical family where music was a part of everyday life. Angela developed a love of music and playing violin during high school while having the opportunity to play with different orchestras and small ensemble groups which developed her love of playing with others and collaborating to make great music. From there she got her bachelor’s degree in violin performance and a few years later decided to continue her education and received her master’s degree in violin performance from Butler University in Indianapolis. While in school at Butler, Angela continued to teach and perform throughout the Indy area including playing with the Carmel Symphony, Anderson Symphony, and playing as Concertmaster for the Hendricks Symphony Orchestra. She had the privilege of being concertmaster as well of the Butler symphony orchestra while completing her master’s degree. Angela discovered her love of teaching at the age of 14 when she began to teach her first students. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she began to build her studio and pursue music and teaching full-time, teaching students from beginner to advanced. Angela loves to help each student grow in their love of music and tries to make learning fun and adventurous as each student strives to achieve their goals, while also building a solid foundation for their playing and a broader understanding of music.

Wondering if Music Lessons are Right for Your Child?

Practicing is hard. Lessons are expensive. Teachers are strict. Why add music lessons to the schedule when time is already so limited? Here at Coram Deo Academy Music Studio, we offer solutions to those problems!

Lessons happen RIGHT HERE at Coram Deo Academy! We offer lessons during regular school hours and immediately after school on weekdays. And conveniently, they happen at the school so that you don’t have to carve out the time to drive them to and from lessons.
Here at Coram Deo Academy Music Studio, we are committed to seeing your children succeed by doing their best. And giving their best is going to look different for every child. We use a variety of methods to tailor our lessons to each individual student’s learning needs. We understand that not every student is going to grow up to become a professional musician. Rather, we want to assist them in reaching their full potential where they are right now. Our compassion for students goes beyond teaching them musical skills; we want to cultivate a love of learning in their hearts and see them develop character in a fun, creative way. And our job is to support them in their journey of discovering the beauty and joy of music-making!
More often than not, students dread the practice requirements that come with music lessons. I mean, who wants to spend time practicing piano when they can be playing video games?! But we have created a system that helps motivate students and make practicing exciting for them. Students have multiple opportunities to earn points each week which accumulate overtime to earn a prize. Our method books also teach students fun songs from the very beginning and introduce them to a variety of styles overtime. Technique and theory are important to us, but those will be taught organically when the need arises and the student is progressing.
While we are proud to have affordable lesson costs, we also offer an unbeatable value! Our teachers are highly-trained professionals with knowledge, skill, and experience. And our school places a strong emphasis on the fine arts, making music an absolute priority. You’ll have plenty of opportunities for extra learning and performances with us, and on top of that, our payments are divided in a manageable way to make lessons more affordable.
