Kristin Hunt holds a BA in elementary education from Hanover College. She spent two years teaching at a missionary school in Mexico City. She has also taught at Christian schools in Indianapolis, IN and Springfield, IL. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and playing piano. She, her husband, and three sons all attend NSpire Church in Westfield.

Julie Kilmer attended Purdue University for her undergraduate and graduate studies in Elementary Education. Her experience includes serving as a classroom teacher for children ranging from K-4th Grade, a Preschool/Director in Vermont, and a Children’s Minister for a local Indianapolis church. In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, and traveling. She and her husband Roger attend Trinity Baptist Church in Westfield.

Laurel Smith has a B.S. from Ball State University in Primary Education and a Master’s of Education degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan. She has over 25 years of experience in both public and private schools. Second grade is her passion, and she loves opening up children’s minds to all subjects, with an emphasis on phonics and reading, as she is an avid reader. Mrs. Smith has two grown children and three beautiful granddaughters. She and her husband were youth leaders at a previous church for over 25 years. The Smith’s live in Westfield and attend N’SPIRE church.

Aaron joined the staff at Coram Deo after spending time as a Pastoral Assistant at Castleview Church. He enjoys helping his students learn to love God through studying a range of topics from math to the Bible. He and his wife Becky attend The Fields Church in Westfield.

Her 19 years of teaching experience include public high school, private schools, and homeschool co-ops. In teaching math and science, she longs to lead students to see the wonder of God’s creation and lead them to worship Him as their Lord and Savior while engaging with each student as a unique person. DeAnna is passionate about making the world around her a more beautiful place. On top of being our Art Teacher, DeAnna is a freelance/contract graphic design artist. She lives in Whitestown with her husband Chris, they welcomed their first child in September. DeAnna and her family attend Traders Point Church.

Mrs. Camara began studying piano at the age of 7. Her love of choir developed as she sang in both high school and church choirs. She also played piano for all of her high school musicals. Mrs. Camara studied piano performance at SUNY Purchase as well as taking 4 years of private lessons with Daniel Epstein of the Raphael Trio in NYC. Mr. Epstein was a student of Dorothy Taubman and Mrs. Camara incorporates the Taubman technique in her studio. Mrs. Camara has taught private lessons for almost 30 years. She and her husband married while still in college and have 10 children. After homeschooling her children for 23 years, Mrs. Camara taught music at CDA as well as led the two upper school choirs for 2 years. In 2018 she became an Instructional Assistant and the preferred music teacher sub at the Oaks Academy Brookside for 5 years where she learned how to incorporate the “habits of the heart” in her teaching as well as made it her goal to make children feel known and loved in her own private studio.

Chad Lesnet holds a B.S. in Finance from Purdue University where he was a member of the track team. Prior to joining the staff at Coram Deo, Chad held senior management finance positions in the transportation and mortgage industries as well as serving as an executive pastor. Chad is also our athletic director and coaches our cross country and track teams. Chad and his family attend Genesis Church.

Mr. Perry started playing the piano for church services in middle school and has been on music ministry staff since 1996. He earned undergraduate (cum laude) and graduate music degrees from Butler University, where he studied piano with Martin Marks, Panayis Lyras and Gary Walters. He has been a music educator since 2002 encompassing levels kindergarten through college. In addition to private lessons, he has taught music musical classes of all types, including band, choir and AP music theory. He has music-directed, conducted or accompanied dozens of musicals in Indianapolis and Atlanta theatres. Choirs that he has assisted include Butler’s Jordan Jazz, Indianapolis Children’s Choir, and Circle the State with Song Festivals. Nathan has appeared as piano soloist with the Peachtree Pops Orchestra and was the inaugural winner of the Young Hoosier Pianist Competition. He and his wife, Tamera, have three grown boys. In addition to music, they love to travel the great outdoors. They have visited every state and are currently working towards hiking in every national park.

Mrs. Foss thoroughly enjoys working with students and the other teachers at our growing Music Studio. For five years, she taught General Music to K-6th at Coram Deo Academy and led specialized music courses for high school, but she has recently stepped out of those roles to be a mom! Emma has loved playing the piano ever since she was 5 years old and the violin since she was 10. Growing up, her favorite ways to use her musical abilities were in church, the local nursing home, music jams with friends, and competitions, where she placed nationally three years in a row for Classical Piano. She graduated from Bob Jones University in 2019 with a B.S. degree in Music Education. While there, she participated in the BJU String and Symphony Orchestra, traveled nationally to various churches on a music team, and won the BJU Commencement Piano Contest her sophomore year. Her passion for music has grown exponentially now that she gets to share it with her students at Coram Deo Academy. Emma is wife to her husband, Andrew, and a mother of two: Remington and Zoey. Their family enjoys many outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, and going on adventures with their two dogs, Ollie and Oakley! Their family also attends and serves at Noblesville Baptist Church.

Emma Foss graduated in 2019 from Bob Jones University with a B.S. in Music Education. Alongside CDA, she teaches music classes at The Music Playhouse, as well as private piano lessons. Her musical knowledge spans piano, violin, guitar, ukulele, recorder, voice, percussion, flute, trumpet, and cello. Mrs. Foss believes music is an essential and beneficial part of children’s education. She and her husband Andrew attend Noblesville Baptist Church.

Prior to staying home to raise her three daughters, she spent 10 years in a variety of teaching positions from Preschool-3rd grade. Linda Hoyt began her professional career as a RN, took time off to raise her daughter and returned to work as a teacher’s assistant at her daughter’s school. She enjoyed working with the children so much that she returned to college and graduated from California Baptist University with a B.A. in Education. She spent the next 14 years teaching second and third grade in a classical Christian school. Linda and her family recently moved to Westfield and attend the Fields Church.

She worked in hotel operations and sales before transitioning to the financial industry where she held her AAP accreditation for eight years. Upon moving after 14 years of living in Arizona, Susan and her husband Mark sought a school that would provide a classical education for their daughter. Her family attends Christ’s Community Church in Fishers.

Head of School

As the Head of School at Coram Deo Academy, David Seibel aims to delight in, display, and declare the Gospel through teaching, training, and tending the next generation. He is husband to Brooke and father of two current and an additional two future Coram Deo students. David earned his Doctorate of Education from Southern Theological Seminary. David’s Doctoral dissertation focused on the leadership contributions to school growth using the organizational theory of Ichak Adizes, describing how schools mature over time. David also holds an MDiv from Southern Theological Seminary, an MEd from Marian University, and a BA in Economics and Spanish from Wabash College. His family attends Cornerstone Bible Church. In his spare time, he likes to finish in the bottom half in triathlons, hike with family, and do research and writing for the classical schooling movement. Dr. Seibel is the author of Recovering the Lost Tools of Leadership to be published by Classical Academic Press in Winter 2023.

Jason Barney was awarded the Henry Salvatori Prize for Excellence in Teaching from Hillsdale College in 2012. He completed his MA in Biblical Exegesis at Wheaton College, where he received The Tenney Award in New Testament Studies. He previously served as the Academic Dean at Clapham School in Wheaton, IL. He recently published A Short History of Narration and blogs on ancient wisdom for the modern era at www.educationalrenaissance.com. His family attends The Fields Church in Westfield.Fellowship Church.
