We are pleased to introduce our new Lower School Music Instructor, Mrs. Kim! She has been teaching, and currently teaches, in our Music Studio. She also is works in children’s ministry at her church, New Hope Korean Church (SBC), where her husband is the pastor.
We caught up with Mrs. Kim in order to help the community learn more about her. We hope you enjoy getting to know her a bit better though her answers.
1) Are you married? Kids?
Yes, one daughter (14), one son (10)
2) Where did you go to school?
The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
3) What is your favorite snack or treat?
fruits and nuts
4) What gets you up in the morning?
I rise each morning trusting in God’s providence and power, knowing that He will fill my day with His grace.
5) What are your favorite hobbies?
I like reading and watching talk shows and testimony videos
6) What is your favorite book and why?
Believe it or not, I was obsessed with this book when I was a teenager, “Gone with the Wind” I was drawn to the female protagonist’s passion for life and the male protagonist’s deep passion for love.
7) How long have you lived in Indiana and why do you enjoy living here?
5 years, What I love most is the beautiful environment and the fact that there is far less traffic than in large cities.
8) Describe a meaningful event in your life and God’s role in that event.
Becoming a music teacher at CDA has shown me that even when I forget or give up on the vision God has for me, He never gives up on me and faithfully fulfills His purpose in my life.

10) What would we be surprised to learn about you?
My father is a pastor, my four uncles are pastors, and seven of my cousins are also pastors. I am also a pastor’s wife.
